The Sterkspruit Farm is situated on an escarpment that forms part of the Drakensberg Mountains and is overlooking the popular Schoemanskloof Valley.

The Manor House Shalom offers 4 rooms. Lemon Room has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. Aloe and Palm Rooms are equipped with 2 single beds and share a separate bathroom with a bath, toilet and basin. Fern Room has a double bed and a cot and shares a bathroom with the Aloe and Fern bedrooms. Kiepersol functions as a conference venue and comprises 2 loft suites, each fitted with an extra-length queen-size bed, double sleeper couch and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. Silver Oak offers 2, self-catering Cottages with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin, as well as a small patio with braai facilities. Silver Oak has got solar power and there is no fridge. All of the accommodation is fully self-catering. Guests in these rooms share common facilities, such as the lounge area, kitchen, bathrooms, Lapa and braai facilities. Silver Oak is recommended to guests seeking more privacy.

There are also 3 tents. Two tents sleep 2 guests each and the third tent sleeps up to 10 guests. The big tent sleeps 6 comfortably if you want to add a kitchen area. Hane and Henne offer ablution facilities for the camping area.

Sterkspruit guest farm is completely self catering and guests are advised to prepare well in advance with regards to grocery shopping and other requirements such as ice and personel items that might be needed during your stay, as there are no shopping facilities close by.

We offer a beautiful swimming pool with braais under the trees. We supply wood for the braais. Please note that guests need to supply their own towels. We don't allow guests to use the guest towels from the rooms.

Sterkspruit Mountain Haven offers a variety of activities such as hiking trails, also suited for mountain biking, 4×4 vehicles and mountain climbing.

Sterkspruit Mountain Haven is situated within an hour's drive from all major tourist attractions like the Kruger National Park, Sudwala Caves and also Mbombela (Nelspruit) with 2 shopping centres that offer a casino, cinemas, and ice rink.

"Comfortable and peaceful."

We haven't rested so well in a long time, the silence, stars and surroundings were wonderful. Hennie was always ready to help with anything and very friendly.

"Totally not what I expected, my worse nightmare."

I booked a nice room with a bathroom and shower, only to get an old farmhouse, old furniture, no shower. This was supposed to be a nice get away with my spouse. That farm was a mess, a dog's kennel at the entrance, dog following us around.

"Not what was advertised."

I was not pleased with what we saw with the accommodation. The self catering accommodation is definitely not that. And Kiepersol is a unit supposed to be shared by 2 families. Silver Oak is completely solar run, which is not strong enough to run even 1 light through the night and you are expected to charge your phone outside in the rain - as it rained most of our stay. And it is also self-catering but does not have a fridge, so you must bring your own food and drink but have no where to keep it cold or fresh. This is all false advertising on website. However the manager is very friendly and tries to be accommodating with the accommodation he has to deal with.

"We booked our stay for four adults, only to be placed in a single small room that only accommodates 2 adults. "

When we enquired about this we were told that the other two adults should sleep on the small sleeper couch. This was not as advertised. We were very unhappy about the sleeping arrangements, the price paid was for accommodation for four adults instead we were forced to share a single small sized room and no bedding was provided for those sleeping on the couch.

"Very peaceful and quiet in a beautiful setting."

Henk very friendly. We enjoyed his dishes. The dirt road there was night, apart from that our stay was nice. Disappointingly, the entrance to the old wall was inaccessible. They need to pay attention to that, as well as the worker's house which creates a poor impression with the fence around it.

"A secluded valley view absolute leisure cottage."

Its a nicely located cottage for spending leisure time viewing the entire Schoemanskloof mountains and valley. Lots of birds to watch. The kitchen was well equipped with all utensils, Gas and electric stoves. The lights inside were little less, which can be improved. Overall, a fantastic gateawy to ennoy together with firends and family and a value worth visiting. The roads to the cottage was not bad at all and we drove easily to the location.

The best place if you want to enjoy some silence and adventure. Will definitely go back again for the fresh air.

"Relaxing retreat."

A relaxing and quiet retreat from the bustling city. The views are great as it's situated halfway up the mountain, and the hiking trails are promising and rewarding. It's got a lot of potential for future activities.
